Besides the fact this transmission can take the off road abuse there are some other benefits. The first gear ratio is 7.05:1 vs the stock AX-5 first gear ratio of 3.93:1.The only thing I do know is the 3 speed case has a lower gear ratio than the 4 speed case which would be a good thing especially if you run the toy trans.
