Not sure if that is normal or not, but (knock wood) not serious enough at all to cause any battery drains. K.What's real dumb is they did light up until mid-way through the 2020 model year. On gen1 cars, the light is sourced by the light filament source which is located behind the center dash panel ( behind the a/c controller). It is a fiber optic cable that is sourced by a single bulb that powers all the dash switches. On gen2 cars, it is a bulb located in the shift gate housing.
