'its only meant for early game' is a really poor excuse. the ammount of time and effort to make one should be worth twice what they currently return for their investment.Apparently after foraging chipped stones and tree branches (and making ripped sheets), Stone Axes can be crafted for tree cutting, which is super useful along with Saw for making wooden Planks.
