I am going to replace some rusty sills in the next month or so and have been reviewing previous posts re POR-15 vs Eastwood, but didn't see anything about people using the zinc-type primers. Por 15, as I understand it requires no prep whereas painting requires the metal to be clean and free of rust and a primer. Powder coating requires clean metal but the finish is much durable than paint.
The Eastwood stuff sucks, and POR15 is good but has limitations. When I did the Tracker about 15 months ago I had a bunch of Chassis Saver left so I painted it all over the trailer I have. It's still there but color/finish will not hold up. por-15 does offer a top coat that seems to hold up better but I've not used it in an exposed area either. I have no experience at all with the other coatings you mentioned.
