You could be riding along and then boom you don't have an engine. Top end rebuild kit with new jug is only 250 bucks compared to 2500 bucks for a rebuilt engine.Jun 14, 2012 · I will use Shell Rotella T Triple Protection 15W-40 'Heave Duty Diesel' in my RZR 800 S,a Wix filter and change it once a year or 1,000 miles which ever comes first and I live in Calif. where it gets hot in the summer so I need a heaver viscosity oil.The manual says, "Polaris PS-4 Full Synthetic 5w-50 4-cycle oil..." It also says, "Oil may need to be changed more frequently if Polaris PS-4 engine oil is not used." As was mentioned earlier in the thread, whatever oil you use, it should meet or exceed Polaris oil standards.

Still was leaking some but only when running. Back in shop now to see whats up. I use Ams-Oil 0-40 weight is which the same weight that is recommended by Polaris. Also use a Wix Oil Filter. I still use all of the Polaris Fluids for the Frt. Diff, Rear Diff, and the Trans. and Trans. Case. The Frt. I would like to change transmission oils in my rzr 800s 2010. By transmission oils I mean: 1. Front diff. 2. two grearcase oil containers. 3. Rear diff. According to Polaris docs these are three different kinds of oils. Now obviously Polaris do not manufacture oils and I am having trouble getting them anyway.Woods rider.
