P0420 subaru forester
I have a 2018 Forester base MT with 142k miles. I switched the 02 sensor with a factory part bought off ebay and a Bosh for the lower oxygen sensor as well as an after market Cat. It keeps throwing code P0420 and has 2096, 0137, and 2270 in the history. I burn a quart oil every 450 miles and my mpg is down to 25.8 all highway driving 70 mph.A full reseal with engine pulled costs $1200-$1500 at my local independent Subaru shop. The catalytic converter (aka P0420 code) issue is often a result of contamination from a failed HG issue left to go for too long.
