Ignition wont turn
The ignition key won't turn in the ignition unless battery negative is disconnected for 10 mins and reconnected with the key inserted. If key is then removed problem returns, Dealer is telling me most probably need to change out steering column and ignition switch at cost of 2000 pounds. I don't believe it and feel it must be a reprogramming issue.aerojon. 11660 posts · Joined 2005. #6 · Jul 30, 2011. disconnect the neg term for 5 mins..make sure the car is unlocked & key out of ignition.. reconnect neg term,insert key in slot (don't turn or try to) leave for 5-10 secs to resync to the car then remove the key for 5 secs re-insert should now be able to turn the key..
