The R2.8 is not built for too much hp. Really about 400 ft lbs is about all you could expect for any reliability. It could be built and even stroked for substantial HP, but it's meant for smaller stuff like vans, but it's relatively easily rebuilt because of the sleeved cylinders and stuff.Even with all the normal tdi mods, the 200tdi wasn't enough power for me. The 2.8 will have as much power as any modded tdi, and it's only at that power level for emissions reasons.
