These serial numbers overlap the dates of the X series guns that began in 1947. The S/V book reports serial number 126175 was sold to a serviceman on September 21, 1944. Warehouse logs show serial number 126201 December 31, 1944 through serial number 128116 December 31, 1945.I have a Semi Auto 22 only number I can find is on Barrel: 79843 I can't find any other numbers other than: 22 LONG RIFLE SMOKELESS. Appears also: FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE . HERSTAL-BELGIQUE. BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE. That's all I can find, not finding serial number anywhere, any ideas?
