Monk is just fine for what you're trying to do and is probably the best of the pure melee classes for moloing low level stuff. They just get better as the expansions go. 7.The druid's not the most underplayed class (by a long shot), but he'll take much of the tedium out of the game. Iksar Necro. Hands down. Everquest is in general not solo-friendly. You can solo a lot of content if you are over-leveled (like 5-10+ levels). You will not be able to handle the later expansions without help, if you only play a single character. Rogues receive a number of burst DPS utilities, …Enchanter is probably the single strongest class in a group setting because it has the potential to bring the single biggest DPS and largest HP pool tank (charmed pet), brings best haste/mind buffs, best CC with Mez and pacify, 2nd best slow which is basically identical to best slow minus the duration which isn't really relevant in group ...The last few years I've filled in a lot of the completionist stuff, like hunters, slayer, tradeskills. Bards are better ADPS for mages, they can mezz the same, are probably the best pulling class in the game, can /melody which makes boxing them simple, are on a different armor teir then a mage so no conflicts.
